Attempting to run a script on startup on a raspberry
I'm attempting to make an alarm with my raspberry pi. I want it to run some python scripts. I want it to run as soon as the pi boots up. I tried following a tutorial that used crontab but I wasn't sure if it was appropriate to use a crontab for something on startup. I also tried following a tutorial that used the /etc/rc.local file but that was a bit too advanced for me. Is there a way I can make this happen? Here is the sample code for the crontab tutorial I was following.

If you are using crontab to run your script on boot, then the easiest way to do this is to edit /etc/crontab and add your command directly, or add it to a file to be run on startup, for example /etc/rc.local
The following, for example, will run your script at startup:
0 * * * * /path/to/your/script.py
You can have as many comma-separated commands in one line as you like.

I always say that KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) and guess what. It is applicable to my business as well. Once I had too many options; meeting and sharing time with other entrepreneurs, brainstorming ideas, reading on-line forums, watching YouTube and responding to millions of emails per day. Then, my challenge was to keep it simple.
I realized that simplicity was best to keep it real.
I stopped all of the activities except blogging and reading articles. My social media presence on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn remained quiet.

Sytrus is a plugin for audio editors based on the open source Free Music Synthesis (FMS) realtime audio patching/patch editing software. Sytrus is designed for users looking for something different in their audio production software.
